Christchurch Primary School RSHE Consultation Timeline

Please see below the outline plan for consultation. This plan has been adapted in line with the LA consultation process, which was postponed from January 2021 due to the lockdown situation.

8th June 2021

We started our school-based consultation process with parents by sending parents information about the process, including key dates.

16th June 2021

We published and sent out our draft RSHE policy and syllabus. Parents and carers are welcome to review these documents and submit questions or feedback via a Google form. The form has been emailed to parents separately. Documents have been shared via ParentHub and our website.

28th June 2021

This is the deadline for the completion of feedback on the draft policy and questions for the consultation meetings.

30th June 2021

Christchurch Primary School Consultation meetings. These will be attended by a representative of the Local Authority and will be held virtually. Parents and school leaders will have the opportunity to discuss our draft policies. We will answer questions that have been submitted via the Google form and there will be a live Q&A session for parents.

2nd July 2021

2nd draft of policy and syllabus to be sent to parents, as well as updated curriculum and resources. Parents invited to submit feedback via a Google form.

6th July

Deadline for submitting feedback about 2nd draft and new documents.

9th July

Parent consultation 'Drop in' sessions. An opportunity for parents to see the updated syllabus and ask questions or give feedback.

July 2021

Feedback will be shared with the Governing Body. The policy will be ratified before the end of the summer term.
