Statement regarding the school chimney & bell tower

April 2016

Dear Parents,

You will be delighted to hear that the repairs to our chimneys and bell tower will be completed tomorrow. The scaffolding has already begun to be dismantled and we have been told it will be removed from the site by the end of the week.  You will probably have noticed that we have had our beautiful bell tower repainted and restored. The bell tower was in a terrible state of disrepair and it was important for us to preserve and fix this whilst we had the opportunity, as it is such a historical and focal centrepiece. Thank you to everyone for all your patience and understanding during the works. Especially our Reception pupils who have had to give up their outdoor play area for 3 weeks!
